Antonius Hospital Problem: St. Antonius Hospital is a modern hospital and provides care at five locations: These locations together count 4860 employees, 272 medical specialists, 150 assistant doctors and 500 volunteers. St. Antonius Hospital is nationally known for its expertise in treating patients with cardiac, vascular, pulmonary disease and cancer. For its telephony infrastructure, Avaya Aura is used. At the control posts, Pridis’ Connecsy operator console is used to handle all central telephone traffic. The operators are thereby faced with slow response time or lack of availability information of employees, making the accessibility of the hospital not optimal. They needed absence information to avoid unnecessary call transfer. Client request: Make the presence status of all staff available to the operators , both of their internal and mobile telephone and make the presence info available of the physician that is on call duty. Solution: The Avaya provides information to the attendant of call status ‘busy’ and ‘Send Calls’ for a group of 100 phones. Pridis has developed a module that continuously provides BLF information for all extensions and makes it centrally available to each operator station associated with this component. With every search in the Connecsy database, the current status for each result is retrieved from the central BLF pool. The operator can thus directly see if someone is busy, or has call forwarded the device. The result is a greatly reduced connect time. Through an Avaya management protocol group, active circuits are being read periodically so that the telephone number of the doctor on duty can be updated in the internal telephone directory Connecsy. By using this facility you can connect at any time callers to the doctor, right from the Connecsy operating station.
